Asayake Taiko

Asayake Taiko is a collegiate taiko ensemble based at UC San Diego with a mission to increase Japanese cultural awareness both within and outside of the UCSD community through the art of taiko! “Asayake” means “morning glow” in Japanese, and invokes the image of the early morning light playing on the ocean mist in La Jolla.

Flautist Acacia

Acacia is a professional flutist with 15 years of experience. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from California State University San Bernardino. Her instruments of choice are the flute, piccolo, and bari saxophone. She also arranges her own music-consisting mainly of video game and anime themes.

SuperNova

Join San Diego cosplay dance group SuperNovA for a very special throwback live. They will be bringing you covers from the franchise love live’s very first idol group. It will be the most a-musing live yet!

Genbu Daiko

Formed back in August of 2015, Genbu Daiko is a contemporary percussion ensemble specializing in taiko – the art of Japanese drums. Although the team mostly drums in synchronization, the performers are encouraged to apply their individuality and interpretations to share with their audience a percussive experience in rhythmic creativity.

Shofukan Kendo

G-Moto

G-Moto is a Bamboo Flute-Beatboxer, based in Southern California. The flute used is a shinobue, a Japanese bamboo flute often used in taiko drumming and integrated in anime and video game original soundtracks. He performs music covers from Video Game Music, Anime, K-Pop, and more. He has covered songs from current and classic favorites such as: League of Legends, Demon Slayer, Sonic the Hedgehog, and the Persona series.

Miho Fuji

It’s Miho Fuji who’s actor/comedian/influencer from Japan spread love of anime through Anime/Jpop live concert and standup show. Her singing is powerful and pure joy, her fun dancing that has gotten several million views on TikTok and niche otaku comedy is on point!

KOTX

Established in 2015, KOTX (pronounced “chaotics”) is a Kpop dance team and social organization at UCSD. Their performance consists of UCSD students and Kpop enthusiasts in the San Diego area who have organized their own Kpop dance covers throughout the school year.
